I used the quilt as you go method. To quilt my squares I used my embroidery machine a brother 2001 ULt. I really loved my 301a for going thru 3 layers of fabric and putting it together. I was going to sell it, but can’t part with it now. It sews beautiful, and looks like new. I have oiled it and given it gear grease. Sews great for a 70 year old machine.
